Venue: Burnsville High School Gym (600 State Hwy 13, Burnsville, MN 55337)

Early bird registration and payment deadline: October 6th (Sunday)

Senior Open (Open Category - 45 y/o and above)


Registration fee (EARLY BIRD rate):

ONE event - $40

TWO events - $45

THREE events - $50

FOUR events - $55

High School Student Flat Rate - $25 (need to specify high school name in the Club section)

$5 discount for College/University Students. ID is required during check-in.


PLEASE NOTE THAT ADDITIONAL $10 WILL BE ADDED TO FEES FOR REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT AFTER OCTOBER 6TH. Early Bird rate only applies if you register and MAKE YOUR PAYMENT by October 6th.

Saturday October 19th

8:30 am - Men's Singles Registration/Check In/Warm-Up

8:45 am - Men's Singles

11:15 am - Women's Singles AND Senior Doubles (Open Category) Registration/Check In

11:45 am - Women's Singles AND Senior Doubles (Open Category) (Approximate Time)

12:15 pm - Men's Doubles Registration/Check In

12:45 pm - Men's Doubles (Approximate Time)

3:00 pm - Women's Doubles Registration/Check In

3:30 pm - Women's Doubles (Approximate Time)

7:00 pm - Day Ends*


*We aim to complete all the matches at least through quarterfinals for Men's Singles and Men's Doubles. As for Women's Singles, we may aim to complete all the matches through semi-finals. Finally, for Women's Doubles and the Senior Doubles (Open Category), we aim to complete both events on Saturday (please note that matches may resume the next day as needed).


Sunday October 21st

8:30 am - Check In for Remaining Singles and Doubles Matches

8:45 am - Remaining Singles and Doubles Matches

10:15 am - Mixed Doubles Registration

10:30 am - Mixed Doubles (Approximate Time)

5:00 pm - End of Tournament


PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SCHEDULE IS SUBJECTIVE TO CHANGE.


Format

Format of the tournament will be decided upon registration deadline.


We are happy to announce that we will continue to hold a Senior Doubles (Open Category) event in the tournament this year. All individuals, who are at least 45 years of age, are eligible to participate (additional $5 fee applies) in the event. Please contact MN Youth Badminton at mn.badders.17@gmail.com if you have any question.


The draws for all events will be posted and shared by October 18th. Please check out the draws and make sure that you check-in on time during the tournament days. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL BE SCHEDULING THE MATCHES THIS YEAR. All players need to be check in at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled match. You may be DISQUALIFIED FROM THE ENTIRE EVENT should you miss your match without a valid reasonable excuse. Your punctuality is much appreciated to ensure a smooth run of the tournament.


Note: This tournament is not sanctioned by the USA Badminton Association, therefore membership is NOT required to enter.


Miscellaneous

All matches will be played with feather shuttles. If both teams agree to play with nylon shuttles they may do so. Tournament coordinators will NOT supply any nylon shuttles.

Family and friends are welcome to attend and watch but MAY NOT play badminton whether for fun or otherwise due to liability during the course of the two day tournament.
