Register now for the 2026 Minnesota Open!


Tournament Software registration link:


Registration deadline: Aug 23rd (Sunday) by 11:59 p.m.

Register by August 5 if ordering a t-shirt.


Registration fees:

• 1 event: $50

• 2 events: $75

• $10 per additional event

• High School Student flat rate: $30 (need to specify high school name in the Club section)


All fees and event details are subject to change.


Events:

• Men's Singles

• Men's Doubles

• Women's Singles

• Women's Doubles

• Mixed Doubles

• Senior Men's Doubles (45 y/o or older)

• Senior Mixed Doubles (Male player needs to be 45 y/o or older; Female player needs to be 35 y/o or older)

• Recreational Singles (only one game of 31 points - open to 16 y/o and below who has not played in an Adults Open tournament)

• Recreational Doubles (only one game of 31 points - open to 16 y/o and below who has not played in an Adults Open tournament)


Entry minimums & caps:

• The organizer reserves the right to cancel any event if the minimum of 8 entries is not met.

• Maximum entries for Men's Singles, Men's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles is 64.

• All other entries will be capped at 32.


Format (Drop-Flight):

• If you lose your first match, you will drop to C.

• If you win your first match but lose your second match, you will drop to B.

• If you win your first and second matches but lose your third match, you will drop to A Consolation first round.

• If you lose in QF, you will drop to A Consolation second round.

(Organizer reserves the right to drop the Consolation bracket.)


Important note on sandbagging:

SANDBAGGING (i.e., losing on intention) is NOT allowed in this tournament and players suspected of sandbagging will be disqualified. All players are required to inform the organizer if you suspect foul play. Players are given the opportunity to continue playing should you play per your level in the remaining matches. If continuing foul play is suspected despite a warning, the organizer reserves the right to DISQUALIFY the player(s) suspected of foul play from the tournament. Registration fees will NOT be refunded.


Skill levels:

A+ = Professional - represented your country and played at international tournaments or have a BWF account

A = Previously placed in A bracket of any participated tournament

B = Previously placed in B bracket of any participated tournament

C = Previously placed in C bracket of any participated tournament

D = Previously placed in D bracket of any participated tournament



Refunds for withdrawal will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
